Compare and Contrast: World War 1 and World War 2

War has always been part of this universe. As long as i could think of there has only been war. These wars have been so destructive they have left there marks on the world, and impacted the way things are today. The main ideas of a war has either been to expand power, independence, or joining a war to help allies.World War 1 and World War 2 have both similarities and differences but both wars will be remembered as infamy.

Alliances of strong countries like Hungary, Germany, and Austria formed caused World War 1 because they decided to declare war on other countries. Allies of all the countries decided to join in, which made the war more damaging and  making it worse. World War 2 was cause by Germany as well because Germany was unhappy with the Treaty of Versailles. So they decided taking matter into their own hands and invaded Poland which triggered the start of the war. In World War 1 most of the battles were fought in trenches, and the first time they were introduced to; machine guns, tanks, flamethrowers, and mustard gas. But in World War 2 they used more advanced machinery and one of World War 2 famous weaponry is the atom bomb. This was first introduced in World War 2 and were still used as threats during the Cold War. These Wars have left so much destruction but in WW1 there was far less damage than WW2. WW1 approximately 24 million deaths , while WW2 caused about 60 million deaths. Which is about 2.5x much deaths than WW1. While at the end of WW1, The League of Nations was established. And at the end of WW2, there still was no peace because people were executed from committing war crimes.
